In the midst of recommendations to stock up on canned foods, prepared mixes, and packaged snacks, it’s easy to forget fresh food.
Everything in this salad was bought three weeks ago: Avocado, carrots, onion, tomato, garlic, romaine lettuce, and a dressing of olive oil and fresh lemon.
Remember that canned and packaged foods can be full of sodium, while fresh food often has high amounts of potassium. Too much sodium can make you feel bad in many ways and be dangerous: Think sinus headache and high blood pressure to name two. Read more on processed food choices here.
